Pictures of the Week – Friday, February 17th
Continuing our new blog feature from last week, here are a few of our favorite shots from this week’s adventures. Again, we picked three…though we probably took about 1000 pictures this week!
I Tawt I Taw A Puddy Tat
This is the kitty at our current WorkAway home. She is named Sylvester and is unbelievably soft and fluffy.
Unfortunately, Knox has not been won over by the softness and fluffiness; he continues to growl and taunt the poor cat. This picture was taken during one of the many times he growled at her. The mixture of fear and anger on her cute little face is priceless.
The day before Valentine’s Day, Edie was baking cupcakes for the folks at our WorkAway house, which just so happens to be located in the mountains outside of Albuquerque, New Mexico. She looked up from the icing and saw this through the kitchen window.
The clouds in New Mexico are incredible and the sky can be wonderfully colorful. This scene was cool because of the gray snow clouds coming to overtake the giant white cloud, with only a little blue sky in the middle. The house in the distance looked like it was about to get swallowed by the white cloud.
We’re going to try to throw at least one non-color photo into the mix each week. This time, we chose a shot from our 2012 Valentine’s trip through some of the mountains in New Mexico.
One of the most striking parts of the New Mexico landscape is the vast range of colors – they are breathtaking. But, as this shot shows you, the landscape is just as incredible in black & white.
