Miami, FL

No trip through Florida would be complete without stopping off in Miami, so we decided to spend a couple nights there, including Scott’s 32nd birthday. We figured it would give us a good chance to try some amazing Cuban food, as well as see a friend of Edie’s that lives in the area.

We snagged a “cheap” (Miami cheap, not actually cheap) hotel with an ocean view balcony in North Beach. Nice hotel with one quirky rule…dogs aren’t allowed to walk themselves in the common areas. So that meant we (i.e., Scott) got to carry our little 50 lb beast every time we entered or exited the building…until our final trip out when we got creative.

Most of our two nights in Miami were spent walking around and seeing the enormous boats, 6-figure cars (Maseratis, Ferraris, and Lamborghinis everywhere!), and ridiculous houses lining A1A down to South Beach. Oh yeah, and we ate some great food and took a trip to a dog park where Edie promptly learned not to stand in the way of 3 romping dogs when she came crashing down, cartoon-style.

Here are some pictures from our very short stay in Miami.
